According to Custodial Mothers and Fathers and Their Child Support: 2009 released by the U.S. Census Bureau in November, 2010, there are approximately 13.7 million single parents in the United States today, and those parents are responsible for raising 21.8 million children (approximately 26% of children under 21 in the U.S. today).
Should an absent parent who by choice choose not to be around the child or comes and goes as he/she pleases have a say in how the parent who is raising the child chooses to dress him or the religion practices at home? What things should the absent parent have a right to say?
